At Unashamed Hope, we believe in restoring dignity, stability, and purpose to individuals and families facing crisis.

Through programs like transitional housing, mentorship, and holistic support services, we walk alongside those in need—empowering them to heal, grow, and reclaim their future.

Your support helps provide safe shelter, essential resources, and the hope that transforms lives.

Together, we can break cycles of poverty and homelessness and build a community rooted in compassion and opportunity.

Summer Programming

City of Chicago students in grades 5–8 will recieve a safe, engaging environment where scholars continue to learn, grow, and thrive beyond the school year. With a focus on academic enrichment, social-emotional development, and hands-on experiences, students explore STEM, the arts, literacy, and physical wellness. Field trips, guest speakers, and special projects foster curiosity, creativity, and confidence—preparing students for success in school and life. This program is made possible through the generous support of donors and grants.

Tuition Free Boarding School

At the heart of Unashamed Hope is our vision to launch a tuition-free boarding school for students in grades 5–8, designed to close the achievement gap and uplift entire families. Phase One begins with residential housing; Phase Two establishes a private, tuition-free school focused on academic excellence, social-emotional development, and college and career readiness. The Academy will feature:

  • Trauma-informed teaching practices
  • A culturally rich curriculum that reflects students’ lived experiences
  • Extended school hours with enrichment activities and career exploration

To prepare future scholars, we also offer two 8-week annual prep programs for 4th and 5th graders. This initiative—our largest, accounting for 60% of our time and resources—is powered by donations and grants. Your support helps us turn this bold vision into a transformative reality for students, families, and the community.

Job Training and Educational Preparedness Program

We aim to empower parents and guardians of our students to advance their education and careers. Through GED prep, six-week job readiness courses, and partnerships with local businesses and universities, participants gain skills, college credit opportunities, and access to internships. Unashamed Hope also offers scholarships for those pursuing post-secondary education. This program, funded by donations and grants, makes up 5% of our efforts and helps close the opportunity gap for low-income families

Transitional Housing

Our Transitional Housing Program will provide temporary, supportive housing for parents and guardians of children facing homelessness due to financial hardship. Through counseling, job training, health services, and life skills education, we empower families to regain stability and achieve self-sufficiency. Residents benefit from personalized and group support in areas like financial literacy, parenting, mental health, and employment readiness. This vital program—making up 20% of our operations—is funded through generous donations and grants.

Support you can count on
